Professional Career Milestones & current post
Since my return from the UK (1993-2006), I have been working as a Consultant Vascular Surgeon in the same vascular unit (5th Department of Surgery, Hippocratio Hospital, Thessaloniki) (1-2-2006 to date). My initial appointment was in the National Health Service (2006-2010) and was then appointed as a Lecturer (2011-2014), as an Assistant Professor (2014-2018) and as an Associate Professor in Vascular Surgery (2018-to date) at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. My clinical interests include endovascular surgery, abdominal aortic aneurysms, carotid artery disease & stroke prevention, diabetic foot, subintimal angioplasty, risk stratification in vascular surgery, venous disease.
