Neurosurgery (MD1051) ECTS
The aim of the lesson is to provide students the ability to acquire the basic principles of modern neurosurgery. Students are trained in the clinical presentation of the neurosurgical disorders, the interconnection between theoretical principles and practical application of them, as well as the neurosurgical treatment modalities. In addition, modern surgical techniques are presented. The results and considerations of therapeutic treatment are reported in the basic chapters of neurosurgery, which are vascular diseases of the central nervous system, craniocerebral injuries, spinal injuries, degenerative spine disorders, tumors of the central nervous system, hydrocephalus, diseases of the peripheral nerves, functional neurosurgery, pediatric neurosurgery.
