Aristotle University School Of Medicine (AUSoM) welcomes students from all over the world to study Medicine and learn from each other’s cultural backgrounds. Living AUSoM is more than a promise for an amazing academic journey. It is a well-thought merging of two components: the actual educational experience and life beyond campus. “High-level studies, amazing people, a beautiful city. I believe I will never forget the experience I am having at AUSOM.”, said Andreas from Cyprus. 

When it comes to life outside campus, we always pursue to connect our students with their peers and the city of Thessaloniki. “I thought that moving to another continent to study, a hundred miles away from home, would be a challenge. The AUSOM community, teachers, and colleagues made my studies a breeze!”, said Mikail from the Netherlands. AUSoM students come from 31 countries: Albania, Australia, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, China, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, India, Ireland, Israel, Jordan, Lebanon, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Republic of North Macedonia, Russia, Serbia, Sri Lanka, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey, Uganda, UK, USA, and Vietnam. 

AUSoM organizes induction events, such as walking tours and team-building activities, to encourage students to bond over fun activities. And they don’t stop there! Starting this October with new freshers, they are putting into motion all the ideas they had to hold back due to the pandemic. Excursions, tours, and bonding activities are on the way! “During the fresher’s Walking Tour, we had a great time walking around the city, learning about its history and people, and of course, attending that amazing restaurant!”, said Sunday from the USA.

AUSoM curriculum derives from the students, for the students, and they perceive it the same way. Many actively take initiatives to build a true community, the AUSoM community. AUSoM ultimately strives to become a paradigm within Aristotle University, with Greek and international students participating in activities together and creating memories to remember for the rest of their lives.
